I got this on VHS in the mid to late 90s some time after it was originally broadcast. I traded it online for a Radiohead bootleg if I recall.

Back in the days when you didn’t have instant access to pretty much everything, you had to be resourceful.

    Indeed.

I had a VHS that I used to tape parts of programs whenever I knew the Manics were going to be on.

It started with part of a gig they showed on MTV. Then some perfomances on various shows when Holy Bible came out.

I can remember knackering the TV, by sticking it up full volume so I could play along with them :)

I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin

But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to

I had it too, but it's long lost now. I find that this time around I am paying more attention to the guitars they are playing, and not just the music. I'm even looking out for pickup mods, etc.

I remember the old Army & Navy surplus shop in Caroline Street (a.k.a Chippy Lane). You used to be able to get some good cheap former East European military clobber in there. The Manics were obviously good customers judging by the video above

The early 90's was a great time for music, but little did we know that Napster was lurking just around the corner ...

Yeah, I too recorded it on VHS and watched in many times back in the day... it reflected what I was listening to at the time.. and was trying to play on guitar.  This is why I had no time for the Britpop vs American band backlash thing that came about soon after this period... at least half or more probably of my favorite bands have always been American.
