I think we can detect a trend there.

Busiest ever day was Oct 23rd (61,109 hits), though the last 5 days have been 
60,181
58,971
58,933
59,371
58,608
(and 61,106 on Oct 21st!), so it's not really "flash in the pan" traffic, it's good solid - and steadily building - traffic.

The number of users figure is misleading as that includes all the spammer sign-ups that have been deleted.  The actual number of genuine sign-ups is just under half that number.

Looks like we'll break the 20,000,000 hits-since-launch level sometime in the middle of November.

    If I remember rightly wasn't October 23rd supposed to be @chillidoggy's new CD launch day.  We were all tuned in eagerly, frantically pressing refresh, then......... :(

    How ridiculous. I've got work to get on with, kids to feed and absent builders to chase up..... so I pay a small team of people to do the refreshing duties and it just so happens that October the 24th was the day I did their appraisals.

    I was genuinely dismayed when the *ahem* "old place" disappeared. Then a lifeboat appeared courtesy of Emp, and then from there to where we are now.

    To say that the transition has been painless may be stretching it a little but this place transcends everything that was there before and even back to my lurking days at Intermusic when I was just getting back into playing.

    To @digitalscream, @TTony, @monquixote for here, and @Emp_fab for our transitional home:

    Awww shucks....  thanks mate.  It was a relatively easy job for me to be honest, I set up the temp forum because MR kept going down like the legendary Deborah in Dallas.  Every time MR went offline, a small handful of us could continue talking bollocks on my temp forum until they fixed MR, at which point my place would again turn into the Marie Celeste.  When MR went kaput for the final time I recruited a posse of deputies to round up as many of the MR crew to assemble at my gaff, and shortly thereafter, most of us were onboard.  The real credit is due to @Digitalscream @Monquixote & @TTony for creating what we have now.
