I think I saw this mentioned on here a some point but I may have imagined it and it was somewhere else. Anyway...
I took a look at their course material and despite being a years long subscriber to Truefire, I think in many ways I prefer the PM material, so I've signed up to the trial and have been using it for the last few days.
There's something about that way they structure the learning path courses (I've nosed in to a few of them) that works well with my ND-addled brain. A 'day' in the material seems to come out to about half an hour's worth of demonstration and playing/practicing the concept, and while you could easily crank through a few at a time, it seems well judged and I've already found myself more consistently going in and doing the next 'thing'
I can't explain exactly WHY in the (for example) CAGED material, that I've internalised and retained a few things more quickly that I have when I've look at the topic before - I'm guessing it's the WAY that same information is being presented and certain aspects emphasised - maybe.
I think it's worth checking out if online lessons are your bag. There is material from beginner all the way through to courses (as well as smaller individual lessons) at what look to be quite advanced level in Jazz and Neo Soul stuff (in addition to the usual blues, jazz etc)
I'm considering letting my usual annual Truefire renewal lapse and doing a year of this instead. I have a feeling I'll use it more.
*edited to add: apparently there is s forum and the ability to share video clips of your playing/progress/difficulties for feedback too but I've not looked at those*
Red ones are better.
