    Metal Zone.

Clearly a discerning gentleman. Anyone who can't get a good sound from a Metal Zone shouldn't be allowed pedals.

If his Eventide summons the Edge I imagine the Metal Zone must summon Kerry King.

  • I absolutely love this band. Usher Hall this year was one of the best gigs I’ve ever seen at Usher Hall.

  • This isn't helping tbh, they're touring in Feb and I decided against it because the latest single I heard on 6Music sounded really dull. Hmmm...

. Interesting. I was there too and tbh didn't really feel it. I've seen them half a dozen times and this was definitely the one I've enjoyed the least!

Long time fan too, but they were seriously too loud when I saw them at Barrowland about 18 months ago. There was no beauty in the noise, just a lot of very odd non-guitar like sounds where the various sound waves interfered with each other in an unpleasant way.

That said, Barry is clearly where the creative drive comes from and comes across well.

I kinda think that is the beauty of post-rock? Whisper quiet to a wall of sound. They are LOUD live, but then again I was surprised how loud Sigur Ros were.

Marvellous video. Who says guitar videos on Youtube are dying eh
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,  a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

  • I find it gas on the reddit link, obviously Americans moaning that they can't understand him. "This guy NEEDS subtitles. He's SOOOO BRITISH sounding!"

I suppose it was the first (and so far only) time I'd ever seen them.

I've seen several very loud post-rock bands. But there was something about this show - it wasn't loud and ferocious. It was loud and unbearable.
