A true touch of class, a beautiful Martin D37-K made from very precious Koa and becoming extremely rare as these natural resources become increasing scarce due to the USA banning the export of this wood that grows only in Hawaii. The ageing Koa wood really makes a difference to the sound, ultra crisp clear high end with beautiful sustain, mellow mid range and a really deep bass. The gorgeous wood grain with high gloss finish just makes this high end Martin stand out from the crowd.Serial number confirms she was built in 1994. In excellent condition with Fishman active pick up system. Just some very minor marks in her 20 years, but nothing detracts from her sheer elegance. The neck is straight, nut measures 1 and ¾ inches. Action at the 12th fret is .100th inch (or 2.5mm if you prefer!). The neck profile is "C" shape with a scale of 25.4 inches. A dreadnought body style, solid spruce top, figured Koa back and sides, round sound-hole with pearl ring rosette, six-ply top binding, three-ply back binding with white outer layer, mahogany neck, 14/20-fret ebony fingerboard with diamond and triangle inlays at the 5th and 9th frets and a Maltese cross at the 7th fret, Koa headstock overlay with logo decal, three-per-side ebony and chrome Martin tuners, ebony bridge with white bridge pins with black dots, tortoiseshell pick-guard, in Amber Stain finish. The D37-K was only manufactured between 1980 up until 1995 so as you can imagine they are becoming very rare. Comes complete with snug fitting, luxury lined hard shell case. This is definately an investment opportunity now that the USA have banned all export of exotic woods. Guitars of this quality made mainly out of one of the worlds most expensive wood is going to become more and more sought after and desirable. If you havent played a Koa guitar youre really missing out on its crispness and unique tone texture. P&P to be arranged Grab yourself a rare and absolutely stunning guitar whilst you dont need a mortgage to buy it.
