The sublime, tasteful guitar solo thread

The often overlooked [in some quarters] tasteful guitar solo - I'll start with Andy Latimer from Camel who has been very ill for a few years. The good news is he's back with a new album in the pipeline and a tour with Camel.

Fast forward to around 3.00 mins if you want to avoid the keyboard solo.

Chord change si another great track.

I have that album .. nice track.

These sort of tracks will always be subjective .. it's nice to be reminded of something you've not heard in years or get introduced to something new.

  • Another one (in 2 parts: 1:52 and 4:10), in a very different genre.
Not sublime but quite tasteful and brings me quite a few years back. :)

Not for me I'm afraid (the fact that he's out of tune doesn't help). :-S

@ddlooping John Peel championed them .. a very 'English' band .. working class subjects, cobbled streets etc. Check out Bill Nelson (he was Be Bop Deluxe) her with his band the Gentleman Rocketeers .. he has a cool line of retro guitars
