Forgive the highly reflective nature of this post - but when you've seen a face every day for over twenty years, a face that has seen me single, married, then divorced, a child - then a father, accompanied me on some of my greatest adventures, through successes and failures - it's inevitable you come to depend upon it. We've been apart now for three weeks - but it seems so much longer....

Happily, Goldsmiths reckon my watch will be back from its full service by the end of February....

I understand where you're coming from, I have a ring I have had since I was 16, I actually wore through the silver after 17 years so it went in for repair, even trying another ring on the same finger didn't help, I was so happy to get it back, Al least when it comes back it will be fit for another lifetime.
