FS: V Heavy Relic Strat body - Mayer style.

What's Hot
Originally a black nitro over white primer 50's custom colour, now a Mayeresque monster relic.

I have dinked it up and transitioned the aged wood look from front/back/sides and the surround of the trem plate aperture.
Some sanding bumps leading up to the smaller bits of paintwork on the rear, you can't really see them and I'm sure that much buckle wear would cause such imperfections in reality.

Nice curvy vintage style body with worm route in the bridge.

There's a scuffed up gold trem and jack plate - both wired up/grounded.
Also have an unused gold neckplate and pickup mounting screws with rubber height adjusters I can throw in.

Maker's mark has been removed from neck pocket. (Will sign it 'Streethawk' in blood for a small fee).

Price? Yeesh. Somewhere between £80 and £150 depending on how you rate my skills. ;) Certainly cost me more.

Delivery and parts included.

Trades welcome but cash is king.

Its like a map of the world on a guitar body. Where is the Atlantic Ocean ?

That's what the Mayers look like!

    Modelled on the original SRV.

You're basically saying you hate Stevie Ray Vaughan. And cartography in general.

I like SRV, but have never had an affinity for horse drawn vehicles...

Forget the bridge spacing, I've got another one with fender stamped saddles. They'll either both be US spacing or one will. I'll get the callipers out and weigh it with the existing trem block in.

    :)

Preliminary enquiries reveal a loaded body weight of circa 4.5lbs, which is right on the money and a wide vintage string spacing of 2 7/32 inches.

I've have it built up before and the string spacing was indeed pretty wide, I liked it.

Will have to unearth the other trem later and see if it's any different.

Let me know if you want to proceed!

  • Thanks! Can I be a pain and ask to check the E-E pivot-screw spacing too though?

It's the same, centre to centre. (I'm using a steel ruler but both look a hair over 56 mil to me).
