Just watching Earth to echo film

Saturday takeaway, sat down to watch family film with the kids, but gave up. I can't stand films where the whole thing is shot on shaky day camcorders because the cast is making a film. Bloody irritating. Somebody somewhere thinks it's clever, I think it's sh*te.

It's known as "Shaky-Cam" and it does my head in. I just can't watch stuff like that.

Me too. I hate amateur POV movies. Really gets my goat. Especially when the camera goes all shaky and out of focus on the money shot. Damn amateurs

Shaky-cam is bad enough, but sometimes they have the 'camera constantly looking around from a stationary position, zooming in and out and refocusing every second' "artisitc" crap going on.

Then there's the 'colour so pale it may as well be in black and white' crap they use so often in murder drama serials.

Sometimes there's the 'no detail-shadows mixed with slightly bluish, badly blown high-lights' "arty" stuff.

Then of course, there's the 'Let's have a million intercuts in this fight scene, so no-one can tell what's going on' crap.

Cloverfield just gave me a headache. Mind you, I did enjoy watching all those American yuppies getting horribly maimed and killed.
