Not a touch, not a nano, not a shuffle, but one of the "original" form factor ones.
I fancy having a go at swapping out the original HDD for an SDXC card, but don't really want to use one of my functioning iPods to try it out on.
So, if anyone's got a busted iPod sitting unloved in the bottom of a drawer somewhere, where the problem is disc failure (or battery - I'll replace that too), let me know ...

And yes, I'll keep an eye on evilBay too, but knowing how untrustworthy that place is, I'll probably buy one advertised as "faulty" only to find that there's nothing wrong with it ...
