A really varied selection here. Congratulations to all who took part.
5 Points @steamabacus - Great tone captured there and equally great riff.
3 Points @Markv
1 Point @Hobbio
Sounds great to me! What did you have the guitar going through?
It's a setup that has slowly 'evolved' over the years - I'm very familiar with the componenets and I have it set up so I can switch it all on and be recording in seconds with the throw of a couple of power switches.
Thanks for the point @Electrodan.
For anyone that's interested, I went through my pedal board into a Blackstar HT-5, then used the 4x12 emulated out into a Focusrite iTrack Solo and then into GarageBand on my iPad. It's easy and versatile, but I find mixing in GarageBand to be a pain which is why mine is soooo badly done. It really changes between the iPad and Soundcloud, the bass disappears and the rest of the levels seem to jump around a lot.

No problem @hobbio. I liked the riff. It has a good energy to it and reminds me of Life in the Fast Lane.
There seems to be some love for the HT5 here.

I agree, it's great to see a decent number of consistently inventive and varied 'riffs'. I hope this level of interest and quality continues in the coming months.
