Looking to add a vintage Marshall type sound to my rig, anyone got a Cornell, Marshall or equivalent clone (18w & up) that they are looking to move?

Ideally combos only please,

Cheers,
NI

I'd suggest looking for an Artisan 15 combo. They go for very little money considering the quality and sound!

I use a Cornell Plexi 18/20 head and 2x12 cab live, really great sounding amp. I also had a Marshall 2061X head when I got the Cornell. Doing a side by side through identical 2x12 cabs, when playing the Cornell after the Marshall, on the same settings, it sounded like a blanket had been lifted off the cab, much clearer and more defined than the 2061. I bet the combo version of the Cornell would be great too. I've been keeping my eye out for one for a couple of years and they very rarely seem to come up in the used market. Good luck finding a great amp!

    Cheers @fretfinder.

I tried a 18/20 once in a shop where I was demoing a Victoria 20112, it was sat in the corner and I just tried it out of interest and it blew me away. I should have walked out with it there and then really.

I really like the look of the 1974x but I have heard that they don't match up to the Cornell.

    The search continues... :-)
