how the Beatles rescued western music...

It took conversations with Andy Timmons for me to (re) discover just how good the Beatles really were.  He grew up listening to them with his family, and the influences run deep in his music.  Check out his Andy Timmons Band Plays Sgt. Pepper released in 2011 for a more literal interpretation, or much of his back catalogue for influences..

There is magic in their music.  Despite Professor Armand Leroi declaring that the Beatles were bang on average, which was their reason for popularity and success, with statistics to prove it, their music was indeed revolutionary for the time IMO.
