Stupid question: single-button footswitches

I picked up a Mesa Express just before christmas, it's a great - supremely versatile and still sounds great at home/flat volumes so I'm pretty happy with it.

The thing is, I don't turn reverb off, and I tend to leave the better contour switch on at all times so I noticed that the amp also has individual inputs for channel select, reverb on/off etc. Is there anything stopping me from using any old latching (?) 1-button footswitch in this?

If not I'll put one together - I have some components from a pedal kit that went wrong so I'm guessing I could use those if the circuit is as simple as I'm expecting?! Ideally it'd be great if I could rig it up with a dual colour LED too to show the channel in use, but that's not the end of the world if I can't.

Cheers!

*edit* It currently has the usual 3-button switch with a DIN cable. It'll take up a lot more space than I need on a 'board though, hence the question.

Essentially I'm after this;
