Anyone know? Site strongly indicates that which would be a shame.
Any other recommendations - just need a couple of fresh cables.

Thanks

Yes, Kabl has been closed down.
There was an announcement here a while back.

HotRox do Van Damme/Neutrik cables at  good prices. I've been using a set for a few years now with no issues.

Rob said he might still do stuff on request, he just wasn't promising to supply stuff on demand anymore. Give him a shout and see what he says.

Cool, thanks. Have emailed him. If not, will give hot rox a go.

  • I just bought a few cables from Designacable who have their own website, but they also deal on ebay and amazon for Prime. This one is nice...

But I also got a few XLR's with Van Damme cable and gold Neutriks, I've had cables from them before and they're well made!

I've had good products from them.

He was rather abrasive when I talked to him on the phone though.  With the benefit of hindsight, he knew his stuff, and what he was saying was right, but his way of saying it wasn't a way of endearing himself to a customer.

I bought some leads from his website a few years back (without talking to him) and they have been great.  Decent quality stuff at a sensible price.

  • I have used http://www.custom-lynx.co.uk/ for quite a few Neutrik/Van Damme XLR cables and they seem fine. They trade on eBay too. I have one of their own-brand guitar cables too and it is also fine and dandy.
I'm just a Maserati in a world of Kias.

I make guitar to amp cables, speaker cables, drum looms, amp send and return to mic lead adapter cables, all kinds of cables for gigging muso's.

Guitar cable is £15 for a 5 metre, add a pound for every additional metre. All Neutrik connects and top notch cable

Figure I'd bump this rather than start a new thread...  Anyone know anywhere I can get a really short (like, 25cm) male to female Midi cable made??

Google found me plenty that are a couple of metres, but I only need a really short one.

(the footswitch port on my amp is in a hard-to-reach place, and don't want to leave 25ft of cable in the back of the combo for something I only use occasionally)

I think this guy will make up something like that:
