So...I acquired this yesterday.

Despite it's appearance, it does seem solid at the moment (might be the three screws under the filler which are helping!).

I bought one that had a similar break, but it had been repaired by a pro.  No screws, no filler.  Gigged it for about 4 years and sold it on (full disclosure, reasonable price).   Now there's one for sale locally that has been through a "neck at the body" break and has had a pro repair.  Tempted, the price has already been dropped once...must resist.....looks good otherwise.....

At least with that head break you know it's not a Chibson.

Interesting so whats the plan, are you going to unscrew and try and redo it better or just do a better finishing job on it.

I'd get Jaydee to redo then a refinish (maybe the whole guitar). They do a lovely cherry.

A decent neck repair and a clean up (looks disgusting) and it will be a nice guitar.
