I have a patent published, but that's about it.

I've done paid writing for some music sites but nothing you can buy in dead tree form.

I wrote the book in my signature, used Createspace to publish it (no outlay necessary) it has done surprisingly well considering.

Just finishing up a second which has a bit of interest from agents at the moment, so all good.

I'm a prolific author over at the DM's website. Currently I have 374 green arrows for this week alone, and a total of 7914 for 228 well written comments.

  • Beyond a blog, no, and even that's pretty short.

However, I am planning a photo project that would make a cool book - albeit an expensive one. I've been writing an email to send out to prospective victims subjects. It'll probably just become an online project, but I might see if there is interest in a limited run of books.

  • I'd also like to write a children's book Called Sox. I had a cat called Sox and I always thought he would be an awesome children's book character...

In 1979 I had a story read on Jackanory by Martin Jarvis.

But I don't suppose that counts.

I used to write a monthly column for a specialist trade (nothing to do with music) magazine.

I'm hoping to get my first book (a biography of Terry Morgan) published later this year.

Id love to write a book. Well actually I have co-authored a book on mid-market middleware implementation but I meant fiction. I remember someone did a little context on here which was I quite enjoyed.

I have a good number of engineering papers and technical studies published.  Not much fiction there - nor cash!

I just got this year's royalty cheque for the textbook I wrote just over ten years ago. It's still enough to buy a guitar, but it'd have to be a Squier now, rather than the Rickenbacker I bought with the first cheque. Still, it's not bad for a 10 year old book.

  • I've published a few technical papers and patents.

Well, strictly speaking the latter were written by patent attorneys based on briefs from myself, and the resulting language is almost incomprehensible to me ... so that probably shouldn't count.

  • I'm an author in the same way as I'm a guitarist -- I spend hours doing it but very rarely get paid.
