Where can I get....

An olympic white Hot Rod strat...this bad boy has been on my "to get" list since they came out but as is my luck, they are now discontinued.  I've had a look round and there seems to be nowhere that's doing them now

Oh woah ist me!

EBay prices are ridiculous and no-one seems to be selling them...anyone got any ideas?

Although mine did end up with a lefty CBS headstock, bridge Humbucker, heavy relic paint job and a full Wudtone Trem !
I'm happy to call that acceptable 'Scope creep' though as it has become my number one guitar.

Rod's an alright looking bloke, but I'm not sure you'd call him hot.

That is nice, but couldn't you just buy an Oly White Strat and change the pickguard?

I always thought of Hot Rod being a single bridge 'bucker type thing, bare bones, like the Frankenstrat.

Would love to see that actually! Hmmm my making skills are not that hot. I did ask a vid looking guy called Rod, but he was busy looking in a mirror.
The spec was awesome on these (to me)

@Jack_ it was just the name that Fender gave that release, think skin nitro etc

I got a bit of a bargain at the time, as it was minus its fancy case and original pickups and the seller was keen to get the cash for an amp purchase.

I think another forumite picked one up recently for somewhere 900-1000 in tip top nick inc case etc.
