There's a lot of mixed feelings about this bloke I know (of which the details I don't really know).

Cool that he's pretty much self taught. But my god, there's a lot of arse licking going on...

Interesting how he misses his time in the DIY scene making pedal kits, then borrowing those designs verbatim and without permission when he decided to start his own pedal company using 'all the knowledge that he'd learned'...

Couldn't watch it any further... Made me feel dirty.

I have gathered that chap behind JHS has caused some controversy but most of it seems to be noise from TGP. What is it that he has done that has riled up the colonials so much?

Just do a thread search and spare us all the agony of going through it again I would suggest. Personally, I've come to the point that whilst he's not whiter than white, some on here go more than a little over the top with his supposed misdemeanours.

OK so he blatantly copied some pedal designs. Well that's none of my business and 'twas ever thus in many areas of business, nothing new in that.

I guess I'll watch this at some point, see how far I get anyway as the aforementioned Joey Landreth one was unwatchable. 
Meanwhile Sweetwater have just posted an interview with George Tripps, I feel he's probably a bit more credible?

Ok he borrowed some designs. But...If Marshall can't be bothered to make the Guv'nor mk1 in a smaller housing. Why can't he capitalise on their commercial incompetence?

Because it's wrong and all the other pedal builders are 100% morally true in every single aspect, so it's ok to judge.
