Blackstar HT5, Scratchy/faulty tone pot?
I acquired a Blackstar HT5 a while ago, and the tone pot on the clean channel appears to be faulty. At (roughly) 12 o clock it crackles and the volume cuts out. Any other position and it seems to work ok.
I'm guessing it's just the pot itself that is faulty (i have tried giving it a dose of servisol but no joy) but i'm curious as to wether it might not be that simple?

Nope, should be nothing more sinister than a duff pot. I had a few, came in batches, months apart and mostly in pedals but a couple in the odd amplifier.
However, changing pots on double sided print needs experience if you are not to bugger things, I strongly suggest you get it to Northampton, there will probably be a couple of mods they will do (FOC) as well.
