I think that the 80gb Classic is c2008?  Is it still fully working, and what's the battery life and general condition like?

You can buy an iPod mini and just change the flash memory card for cheap. Or pick one up pre upgraded ones on eBay or the like. I think I got my 128 mini for something like £80.

I've got a 3rd gen nano that you can have if you just cover the p&p. I'm never gonna use it again because Apple and also Spotify

I keep thinking about doing the same.  I might actually get around do doing it this time.  Trouble is, I rely on my range of iPods for different stuff in different places (music in the workshop, podcasts in the car, more music in the office, etc), so I've never found myself with a "spare" one that I'd dare experiment on ...
