NGD - Les Paul Junior Refinish

Okay... I still need a cream jack plate and control cavity plate... maybe some more small screws.... and a new nut (en route) and strings BUT it has been finished up to that point and I'm not waiting any longer to show it off properly.

This guitar started life as a tobacco sunburst junior with a DIY routed cavity for a humbucker (previous owner never got the time to finish it). I repaired the cavity, stripped it down and refinished it in Shell Pink with an amber clear coat. The robot tuners have given way to vintage button machineheads and all the black plastic is long gone. It's been fun, really fun.

Thanks mate. Ive noticed how much the Pink doesnt photograph too well. Ill need to try and upload some more pics.

Nice. I like the shell pink - agree it needs a black pickup cover though.

That's a beauty. The shell pink is subtle but you can just about see it.

Thanks all But.... ive just spent time and money ridding this guitar of all things Black. I'll use it elsewhere, this particular one was all about something a little different  

Ill try and get some better pics of the pink.... I think the daylight pretty much killed it!

Yesterday was a good day...

I managed to fit the last of the new parts, string it up and let it sing. Sounds amazing through the Marshall. Unplugged it has great resonance and the new graphtech tusq nut made the setup easy.

Overall I'm delighted with my efforts.

Not a colour I'd choose for a Junior personally, but very striking and a very brave choice.

That's the first of my superstrat builds I'm doing. I sold everything to start the business so this is me clawing back some gear
