Evening All,

Currently looking to fund a new vintage guitar so selling some of my Custom Shop private collection. The Johnny A is a cross between a Les Paul (Mahogany back and Maple top) and a ES335 (F holes and semi hollow).

As with most of my guitars this lives in the Gibson case and comes out occasionally to be played at home, this has not been out of the house. Its in excellent condition with the only marks to mention being some paint wear on the corner of the headstock and some very light natural weather checking.

This limited model also features a pretty cool Stinger on the back of the headstock, ebony board and a factory fitted Bigsby.

I paid £3,600 for this new from Guitarguitar Epsom. Sits awesomely between a Les Paul and a ES335.

Price is £2,550

Here's what Gibson say about the Johnny A Standard Guitar

Guitar star Johnny A's signature model from Gibson Custom has established itself as a modern classic, and that tradition continues in grand style with the 2015 Johnny A Standard with Bigsby.

Great looks are assured by a figured maple top on a 336-style hollow mahogany body for enhanced tone and comfort, while a pair of 57 Classic humbucking pickups yield everything from sweet, creamy neck tones to all the snarl and growl necessary for stinging leads.

Add a Bigsby vibrato for emotive playing and Johnny A's 25.5-inch scale length for firm lows and shimmering highs, and it's one of the most versatile guitars in the arsenal.

Superb guitar but I think you will find that they are a FULL hollowbody not a semi

    Thanks Dominic,

Close, there are iirc, kidney shaped solid areas below the bridge that provide a link to the back of the body. So not quite the solid piece of a 335, but not the fully hollow 330 arrangement.

Ill try try and dig out some more info and post it.

    cheers

Bump, Ive had a couple of low ball offers via chancers on eBay, so I'd much rather sell on the forum.

I might consider a 330 or a 335 as part ex (any condition as it may get a refin)

One of my favourite guitars from a looks point of view, if it was 24.75" I'd probably have one.

    Hi all,

As per my other posts I have my eye on something so I'm willing to take a bigger hit on some of my items currently for sale. Going to reduce this by £300 down to £2,250 for now.

    Cheers

    Toby
