I think it says "Balfour". There's a defunct website for balfourguitars.co.uk and a facebook page that doesn't seem to have much about guitars on it. Retired luthier perhaps?

Looking now at the cached version of the website it says: "Balfour Guitars have been constructing fine instruments since 1997. Nigel Green, the owner and designer of Balfour guitars is a master craftsman. He personally assures the construction process from start to finish and can boast some of the lightest, full-toned instruments on the market."

That language makes me think this was a "bench grade" make where someone designs guitars, gets them made somewhere cheaper like China or Korea and then sets them up and QA's them back in the UK (like Auden guitars, or Michael Messer resonators)

Thanks - I'm not 100% convinced though as the headstock logo doesn't seem to fit in with anything I can find under the Balfour brand.
