SC Relics - Phil X Prototype Tribute Model

Several months ago I was asked by a friend to help him make a special guitar. Upon checking out the inspiration I agreed and we set about gathering the stock and materials to make it happen. 

Ill not bore you with the minor details. Here it is...

Now, it's a tribute to the Prototype so there are several changes but the idea is pretty cool and well represented. It was only a few weeks ago my wife showed me a photo she took when she saw Bon Jovi a few years back and there it was...

So, there you have it. Several months of work have come to an end. I'll be sad to see it go but I'm very happy to pass it on to its (hopefully) happy owner.

That looks wicked! 

I've often wondered why (almost) no-one has ever done a Tele with a Strat-style edge radius, and this seems like the absolute perfect application of that.  Does it have contours as well or just the rounded edge?

I want one!!

Thanks mate, this was a custom routed body from GuitarBuild. The edges are VERY rounded and there's a belly contour as well. The top is flat so that forearm area will rub in nicely

Sounds fantastic. I've never quite understood why the Superstrat is such a thing but the Supertele barely exists.

Same here. If I can get buyers for custom tele bodies I'd love to build a few hot rodded teles
