  • I have one and love it. It'll do a decent mid gain overdrive through to a full on roar. There is lots of gain and particularly volume on tap. I find it incredibly smooth and typically like bogner stuff extremely well made. Responds very well to picking dynamics and has a really low noise floor. All in all I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I pair mine with the Wessex overdrive which I have set to a pushed crunch tone just for when I want to kick in some extra grunt.

Thanks pepper.....how does it compare to the super crunchie box?

You using Buckers with it and no problem with not enough treble?

I had one, it is a great high gain pedal, in fat mode it's very very thick and rich. Only thing I'd say about it is that it puts its stamp on things, you could probably plug it into a toaster and it'd sound good, on the other side if you want your amps character to come through then it's not that type of pedal.

I've often wondered at how he arrived at the provincial town names for his pedals. Why not the Grimsby, the Skegness or the Doncaster?
