Is there any guitar synth track you really like?

I listened to Pat Metheny's 'Are you going with me' again yesterday. I think that it's a beautiful instrumental, very emotional. It is played using a Roland GR-300.

I was wondering if anyone else has found any guitar synth music that they really like?

This is the track if anyone is interested, guitar solo starts at about 3.40.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

Kidding. This is more like it. Fripp's guitar synth solo is about 2:59

...actually not kidding about Planet Earth. Possibly the most commercially successful guitar synth riff ever?

That's my favourite guitar synth track too. Incredible playing and phrasing from Metheny on the solo too.

    Allan Holdsworth springs to mind.

    Then, there's Summers & Fripp.

You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

    Allan Holdsworth's Distance Vs Desire

It took me a while to get over the lack of *actual* guitar on his album Sand - but this tune is just so good, it won me over in the end.
Not much of the gear, even less idea.

Holdsworth is probably the synth guitar master.  I can't think of anyone else who played it as well as he did.

I saw them at Manchester Poly in the 80s; they toured as Discipline, before (re)adopting the King Crimson name.
