NGD Day - Warning Feline Content!

After my thread on a EVH/SuperStrat - spent a great afternoon at Feline in Croydon (after a very painful drive across London!)

Played two wonderful superstrats - truly wonderful, could have easily walked away with either (and seriously considered both!).

But ended up with this bad boy - Jon's pictures, they're better than mine!

Thanks to Jon for his patience and stories - and there's a wonderful superstrat still there if anyone is looking, wonderful ebony fretboard and neck, and the fattest sound you can imagine.

Back from three hours in a rehearsal space - fingers shot, but wow! Amazing guitar.

Completely gob-smacked, plays indeed like butter - and the pickup switching (micro switches on the top of each pickup give you four sounds per pickup) - give it such a range!

Even happier now!

good choice! I got to play that a couple of years back at a fretboard "gearfest". Absolutely the most resonant sounding Floyd equipt guitar I've played

This might interest you - I have a lovely early 60's DC Special that I took down too and we compared it to a Lion.

The Lion is very, very close - Special was slightly more 'relaxed' (well it's middle aged!) but the Lion was disturbingly close!

I was born in 1959 and had a soft spot for a good playing 59 LP Special for years but not found the one - The Lion gave me everything I was hoping for from a Gibson - Best Gibson I found was a refin, broken neck, re-fret a while ago - Total player grade guitar but I passed on it, but what a player - since then never found an original that made me think Yes !!! - Love the Lion - so good to hear your thoughts

To revive my own, dead thread.

Had the opportunity to take this guitar and my AX8 to a rehearsal studio and crank it.

Highlighted two things - firstly I need to get a lot better at string muting whilst I tap for the upcoming jam (or invest in a scrunchie!)

Secondly - what an absolutely amazing guitar! Anyone thinking about a superstrat - can't recommend Feline highly enough, this thing is so easy to play and just screams!
