As an aside, during the 17.00 - 18.00 "extra special bonus hour" I was planning on offering a short (15-20 min) workshop myself, called "Bass Guitar for the vaguely interested Guitarist"

The idea being that as you get into recording and putting your own tracks down, you might be interested in getting a bass so you can do your own bass lines. I would run through the basics, techniques, equipment and so forth in a "cheaters guide to getting away with bass" sort of way so you can jump in and pop some simple bass lines down with minimal effort. I'd probably even do it as a Q&A mostly..

If anyone is interested let me know and I'll run it as an informal session in one of the rooms.

I'd be interested in a bass for guitarist workshop. I've bought one but need to know the bass-ics!!!

@Alnico sorry for the lack of contact, I've been on dad duties. I'll leave it this time, I'll keep my eyes peeled for the next one. But I'm interested in how it goes.  I've always wanted to meet and chat with a load of people on here.

I will bring my acoustic too., I would be interested.  The trouble with acoustics, even in corners, is they can be a bit loud.  Mine is at least!

    No problem,

Like I said, for the next one we'll give you a shout at the start.

I'm sure we'll take away some lesson from this event that will give us a good direction for the next one and help us streamline how it works next time.
As @Bridgehouse said early on, this is all quite new to us and we're making a lot of it up as we go along, although that said I think it's an excellent job and that mostly down to Mark with us helping in whatever way he thinks we can.

Exactly. The Trio actually learns the songs you teach it. Nothing like a real bass player at all :)
One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

Is it worth suggesting that people bring their own headphones or earbuds for those who might want to listen to some kit a bit better?...Im taking some studio cans which I dont mind folks using, I will also have some jack adaptors etc. for earbuds.
