its mostly hollow, which makes it even more amazing it survived PT

Thank god for that. I was thinking it would be around the 15lb mark.

Really interesting article.  I was very surprised at the heath robinson stop tail pieces on such a high end instrument.  A carve top SG double neck with cheap ally extrusion tail pieces doesn't look right somehow.

Great restoration though.
