Ridiculous price for a USA made guitar.

Actual model is BT-500

This was made in 2009 in the Illinois factory

and is one of the last true Washburn custom guitars made before the factory was sold.

Only 16 built and only four in this colour

It was a special run we did in late 2009, affectionately called the boneyard series.

It was also listed as the 2010 on the ground series.

List Price was $1499

it was essentially us constructing a variety of USA custom shop guitars

utilising the remaining stock on parts and bodies we had accumulated over the previous few years while still providing a superior instrument constructed in the USA custom shop from top quality materials.

The company was sold in 2010

Originally this guitar was fitted with a Seymour Duncan single coil and humbucker, but I found the sound to be imbalanced and not as detailed as I would have preferred.

Thus the pickups were changed to Dimarzio which work far better together - I don't have the original pickups

The neck is superfast, a little more rounded than a superthin wizard neck so those that prefer a little bit more substance are catered for but if you want a typical Washburn Fast neck you will not be disappointed.

Lovely low action, set up by Xperience Guitars in Nottingham using superior Elixir strings.
