Hi. I have just got hold of a Kent acoustic jumbo guitar. It says made for FCN England and has the serial number "41/x" in pencil.
All searches on Google lead to people asking about this model!!
I believe the date is possibly 1978 but would like to know as much as possible about it please?
Also, as you may know from other posts, I try to get realistic values for the charity shop I work for so if this is not against forum rules is there any idea of value please?
Unfortunately it has bellied out a bit below the bridge which has slightly lifted and one metal tuner head is missing. It seems to be solid wood though and the neck is OK.
My photos are on my iPhone at the moment so will try and post when I have moved them somewhere accessible.

They were importers of all sorts of cheap to mid-range instruments as I recall. "Kent" would be one of their house brands, along with "Lorenzo".
If you have a local friendly guitar shop, they should be able to sort out the machine head.
There's a thread on here about Lorenzo: http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/50317/12-string-lorenzo-1970s-model-n
Also messrs @ICBM and @HarrySeven have good knowledge of the guitars from that era. (hope you guys don't mind the mention?)
I can't help with price, but I'd be surprised if it made 3 figures.
Hope this helps, and welcome to the Fretboard!
