WTB - Gibson SG Special 1988 to 1991 - Red

Hi, 

Real long but looking for my first guitar model. 

Gibson SG Special
Circa 1988 - 1991
Ferrari red. 
Only three knobs (not four). 

There are two on ebay at the moment, one is a dealer and the other is changed and battered. 

Anyone got one hidden away...??

In my opinion, that bold opaque red colour is a bit of a throwback to Hair Metal but I can certainly see the appeal of not having the controls and output jack socket all cramped up together. 

The battered white example is overoptimistically priced. It might be worth contacting the vendor and haggling for a better deal.

If the control layout is the main appeal of the guitar that you desire, it might be worth seeking the less fashionable Gibson SG3. Buy it a regular wide HH pickguard. Rejig the controls accordingly.

Already haggled and he's not for moving. 
I'll keep a look out on reverb as it looks like a few go through once in a while for around 450.
This model is a mix of weight, colour and playability. Great neck.
