One day I'm going to make a guitar out of butter to experience just how well it actually plays.

Paul, if I'm honest I'm trying to get at the innards of it in a cost effective manner. Rola - Celests.

    T1886's? Cone stamped 5011 I think?

  • Yeah T1886's in there usually. They will be circa 72 or 73.  If they have green magnet covers they will have pulsonic 102/30 or '5' cone stamp. But they are best avoided in my experience.  Stick to the usual 6 ridge spider Celestion models (T1221, T1281, T1217, T1511 etc).

Try them by all means, they are nice speakers if they work properly, but my experience is they tend to rub due to the softer spider.
