lovely looking guitar ... the thru-neck is IMO an improvement on the Gibson set original. I guess Yamaha thought so too when they did theirs ...

The only thing I have against SGs (and this doesn't include the Yams) is the pickup selector switch. It's in the wrong place. The LP has been my main axe for so long that no matter how much I play SGs, 335s etc I still instinctively reach for the switch on the bass-side upper bout, or I fumble for it near the pots. Rarely get to it in time for a clean switchover. I suppose it's a bit like riding a Japanese bike. I can do it but whenever there's an automatic reaction to a potential hazard that involves use of the rear brake, I always do it with the gear shifter. And even if I remember to change gear with the left foot, I can still change in the wrong direction (proper gearboxes are 1 down and 3 up).
