NGD: Mule
My third and final guitar purchase of the year...
I’ve wanted a Resonator guitar for as long as I can remember, but every one that I tried didn’t quite produce the sound that I wanted. Some were too brash, others had no headroom, and some just sounded dreadful. Even vintage NRPs didn't quite hit the spot.
Both Home of Tone and Charley Hicks got me onto Mule Resophonic - the tone, looks, and vibe were all spot on so I placed my order for a tri-cone w/pickup model.....and subsequently forgot about it!
Fast forward a year later and it finally arrived from Mule HQ in Michigan. I’m not really into slide playing so I’m judging this guitar on its finger-style and strummed tone, which is just exceptional. It does everything that I wanted it to do and plugging it into one of my amps is a massive smile inducing moment.
If you're looking for a Reso, I can't recommend these enough
