Rewiring male pin on Gigrig power supplies

I have a load of Gigrig black and white power cable cast offs that I'd like to reuse with the diy male power jacks I have. 
Thing is, forgive my ignorance, but where does the white cable go in the jack? 
the Gigrig people told me the white is ground and black is live. I'm ready to solder. Directions please. 
This should also provide the knowledge on how to rewire a Gigrig power cable to make it centre positive, right?

Joe had given me the ground and live info; rather than bother him again I thought I could throw it out to the fb public as well as the g2 Facebook page.

I've been told that the sleeve is ground. I'll confirm this with a volt meter when I get a chance.
