Velcro for DIY pedal board ???

Morning,

Am slowly building my tiny DIY pedal board (only 5-6 pedals here) using old chopping board...

Anyway - what is the best source (don't want to spend ££) to get decent velcro straps (something I can cat to size)?

I need both parts one to place on the board and the other one to underside of pedals.

Any ideas ??

Thx,

Chris

Plenty of online places sell it but if you have a Dunelm store near you they sell it off a roll whatever length you want. Hook and loop, correct width and self-adhesive. It works fine.

check for a local haberdashers (great word). C&H Fabrics the big one here, and a nice little one too. they will either sell rolls or do it by the metre/yard, sometimes the hook and eye as a single sandwich.
quicker than waiting for delivery, you can see and feel what you are getting, and you get the feel-good of supporting your little local shops.

I'm a big fan of the heavy duty velcro stuff.

Just a casual word of warning I used fairly cheap velcro on mine and repositioning pedals has caused it nearly all to come away from the board.  I'm going to get some decent stuff and redo it all.

    Cutting corners and all that!

It might not be the cheapest option but the M3 dual lock is by far the best sollution for pedalboards in my opinion. It is super strong and you don't need two sepperate parts for attaching pedals to your board. A very little piece of dual lock on both pedal and board is enough to keep the pedal tightly attached.
