Just bought my tickets. Can't say Uli Jon Roth floats my boat, but I am looking forward to seeing Petrucci

    Didn't even know about it.
     Now do.
Have booked.  Colston Hall (or whatever it will be called then)

Thank you, I am very glad you posted!

Is that a change of lineup?  I thought Phil Collen was doing it next year.

The only G3 show I've been to, many years back, was Satriani, Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker.

Collen is on the US shows, Roth on the European ones I think ( he used to live in the U.K., no idea if he still does).
I feel the warm, healing, liquid presence of God’s genuine cold-filtered grace.

He was living in Wales a couple of years ago, I'm pretty sure.

Thanks.  I'd much rather see Roth than Collen anyway, but whether I can be arsed to get a ticket is quite another matter.

His Wikipedia page says in Powys.

I saw him many, many years ago and enjoyed it a lot and I’ve quite fancied seeing Satriani but not very interested in Petrucci and I suspect the whole G3 experience would be a bit too much widdly  widdly for me to cope with in one evening.

I agree with all of this except I AM up for a whole evening of widdly widdly so I'll see them at the Cliffs in Southend.  I think Uli Roth's rig rundown was interesting so I'd like to see him live.
