I was thinking of getting an Epiphone Sheraton II Pro but then whilst browsing Coda online found this second hand model.  Those two guitars are a bit different, this has P90s rather than Humbuckers and is fully hollow but I am used to a strat so wasn't sure what I liked best.  Tried both and discovered that I liked this better so here we are, Happy Birthday to me (next week)!
Bonus that it came with a hard case, and they threw in a strap, cheers Coda.

True but this is not the date of the actual guitar!

Yes I don't remember seeing them on any others.  I wasn't sure if I liked it but it looks good I think.

The headstock is nicer than the epiphone one too.

The headstock on that Epiphone Sheraton 2 is huge!.  At least it seemed to me when trying it after playing this one.  Obviously the Sheraton being semi-hollow compared to this fully hollow body, it was a lot heavier, and the headstock added to that.

Does it sound like a Casino?
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

It's basically an Epi Casino from the 90's (when they were made there) with some slightly better parts and some better p90's

IMHO it's the best Casino you can buy without going Elitist....

  • Very nice guitars. You will want to replace the pickups if they still use the super overwound ones that came in mine.

Unfortunately I am not qualified to judge.  Maybe I will go and listen to a Casino or two on ebay.  But it's so dependent on amp etc too.

Speaking from a point of ignorance, what is the symptom of that and what's the benefit of replacing them?

The 90s Korean Casinos are pretty good. The Peerless one like yours I played was better - quite a bit better, but not quite as good as the Elitist Casino I played.

Mind you, those Elitists are £1800 and have Japanese bodies with US hardware etc. so they should be exceptional.

If I wanted a Casino and didn't want to spend that sort of cash the Peerless would be well up on the list...

Oh, and they do some basses I've been lusting after for some time but finding them in stock anywhere is well hard...
