I had a 12" 70's Fane reconed by some outfit near Great Yarmouth. Promised me a 10 day turnaround and reckoned they still had a few of the original Pulsonic cones. I made a box out of 1/2" plywood and bolted the speaker inside and put foam blocks on the outside and the whole lot went into a cardboard box. Came back 8 weeks later in a tatty cardboard box with a square foot of bubble wrap thrown in. Cost me £95. Looks and sounds OK but I'm not a speaker guru !

Thanks man, anyone got any experience with wembely  loudspeakers for a recon.

Don't use DC Boultons/Audio Loudspeakers/Tayden or whatever they're calling themselves these days. They've lost, damaged, and failed to repair so many speakers that I've sent to them. I have nothing good to say about them.

Wembley Loudspeakers do a fantastic job, but the level of customer service is atrocious.

I now use recones.com
