Drum throne purchase - for guitar/bass playing

Yesterday I bought a drum throne. A Gibraltar 9608 with moto style seat. I suffer from persistent back pain, not helped by playing guitar or bass while standing. The Gibraltar came highly recommend by a drummer friend.

The very helpful assistant at the drum section of XMusic at the Red Cow gave me a couple of drum keys as she said that drummers usually lose one! [A drum key is needed to lock some part of the seat].

No Black Friday discount but I got a good seat and spent some time looking at guitars and amps in the shop. Did not try out any as experience has taught me that flesh and blood can be weak in the face of temptation!

This seat really is the biz. Wide enough to accommodate my substantial seat, it looks built to last. If I could award Gibraltar a Wow!, I would.
