Sounded good to me, tempted to get one ordered as I was expecting it to be about another hundred quid over what they're actually selling for,

Did Dan have full disclosure about his financial involvement when he was raving about it?

Yeah he failed to keep that one a secret which I'm sure would have been an incredibly lucrative ruse for him had he only managed to keep quiet about it.

Update: this pedal is bloody awesome. It could replace all dirt pedals on my board easily. It’s immensely flexible and the range of sounds is superb. Even at extreme settings it still sounds great and very usable. I love the foot switch too.

  • What Mick and Dan do is so removed from my taste that I find it hard to judge. I prefer the demos of The Elements by Dr Scientist to what they do with the Hampstead here.

Keeping quiet about things isn't one of Dan's strong points.

    hmm. i'm dubious.

do you have the pedal yet or is it on order for January?

I'm sure you totally impartial about your new honeymoon period £220 dirt pedal purchase.

what other fuzzes do you have to compare its fuzz capabilities with?

With so many sounds available and considering the price, I wish it was a dual pedal so that you're not limited to just one sound at a time.

I have only ever used a handful of fuzzes to be fair but I know what sounds good to me and this certainly sounds good. The last fuzz I had was a Muffroom Cloud and before that a tone bender.

Ive has the pedal for a couple of weeks now and it was £200 actually ;)

I tend to be pretty harsh with the whole honeymoon period thing and I have had pedals before (both cheap and expensive) that I have either returned or moved on within days because they don’t sound good.

    This pedal sounds fucking great.

i thought as much.    that Thorpy pedal is a big muff so it it isnt a proper fuzz.    what sort of tonebender?  2 transistors, 3 or 4?

Which fuzz do you reckon are the best you have played ?
me?    well, i'm not the one making claims about pedal X, but if you insist....
    i've played more than handful.
there are many that are 'best'.   fuzz comes in many flavours.   it's like asking me to choose a favourite child.

i dont want to ''de-rail'' the thread.

why are you so interested in my opinion anyway?   you called me a tool.

You see, and this is my last attempt, its a forum. So, we learn from each other along the way...

Now, my fuzz knowledge is poor, and yours seems better. Hence, the questions...

Ive been limited to Analogman White NKT (loved it) and Wampler Velvet... oh, and a few Bearfoot which always sound good to my ears.

    Id appreciate your recommendations. :)
