Recording videos for Instagram

Christmas coming up and my girlfriend keeps asking what i'd like for a present as she doesn't know what to get me.

Have done a few 1 minute clips of myself playing on my instagram, but simply used my iPhone for the audio and video. Video was fine but obviously the audio is fairly poor as you'd expect. I'd ideally like to do some clips with the same quality as Mateus Asato uploads on his instagram, but quite obviously without the guitar playing ability! 

I've got a macbook and a set of decent monitors so I was thinking maybe I could ask for an audio interface to record my guitar? 

Have a tone that I like from my amp and pedalboard, however i've never done any recording at all so I don't know how easy it is to convert that tone into a digital file with a mic. I see that some interfaces come with amp/stompbox plugins which look like an easier option so potentially interested in those.

Anyone have any advice on what to look at as this is all totally new to me!
