Had my Burns Tele since the spring. The guy I bought it off said it needed some new strings and for whatever reason I didn't get round to changing them until today. What a difference!

Gave the board a once over with some fb oil too and I'd say the tone and playability have improved by 30%. 

The neck HB was a little bit muddy and dense before the change, now I need to back off the tone, it's loads brighter. 

Note to self - always try new new strings!

Guess yours is a bit different, having a neck humbucker. Sage advice nonetheless.

@mikem8634 It's one if the ones Barry Gibson had made (or made himself) as a prototype but never produced.

They are a bit marmite in looks but it plays like a dream, I love it. 

Here it is with the old strings (and old amp).
