I hate squeaky strings. Ones that squeak when you move your fingers
Before someone says "that's poor technique", I hate it on all the recordings of professionals that I endure it upon too
On some recordings I otherwise love, some squeaks are so loud they even pick up a reverb trail
With nylon strings, I particularly dislike when you make those final small adjustments you need to make after putting your fretting fingers down on the wound strings, and get a loud squeak
For acoustics and electrics, I use Elixirs, which solves most of this problem, but I have never found quiet nylon strings

what makes them quieter?
There are also some new Daddarios out that I’ve not tried yet

Bass strings are polished to reduce finger noise. Not tried them and they are expensive, but may be worth a go.
