Who would have known - Christmas Carols sound good in a gypsy jazz groove ?

so decided to help out a mate and do busking for charity in Sutton Morrison’s this afternoon for a couple of hours. 
Hadnt practiced most of the tunes, but he had words and chords and I just picked it up as a went along.

for some reason “God fest you merry gentlemen” came out as a gypsy jazz groove and went down very well , and as a result that sort of stuck with most of the rest of the songs too.  Works particularly well with White Christmas too.
