How do you tighten your nuts?

I've been using a pair of pliers to tighten the jack sockets on my guitars, but I want to user the proper tool now. Is a standard 1/2" socket correct? I don't want to buy a whole socket set, can I get just the one?

Hah you're right - inside diameter is 3/8" duh!

So what do you use to tighten your (jack socket) nuts? Need something that can do Fender, Gibson and Ibanez.

A nut wrench, I borrowed it from my wife

I have one of those small socket sets where you put them on a screwdriver type handle. Very useful, especially for machinehead nuts.
