From an older mate when a stranger asked me where a road nearby was.  Sounds an innocent question but when I started telling him he said 'come over here and tell me' and started walking towards some bushes in a field.  I was about 8 and thought nothing of following him.  Then I heard the excellent advise 'RUN!!!!!'

So that advice probably stopped me getting assaulted, so no doubt it will remain the best advise I ever received in my life.

Worst advise ever 'You really don't need another guitar'.....
