edited February 2018 in Amps £

Hi everyone,

This thing is a beauty and I have lusted after one since I first saw them in Vintage and Rare on Denmark Street.

10w all valve, hand wired using turret board and sound phenomenal. Jensen Speaker. Only for sale due to needing a bit more power for larger gigs.

This model is the ‘Soft/Loud’ version which is a very subtle difference in how the amp responds. The reverb is a thing of wonder!

Based in Malvern in Worcestershire or Kidderminster for work. Delivery possible at your cost and risk - I have a box and bubble wrap but would advise against it.

£525

What does that actually mean from a user perspective. Is it good or bad?

The loud settings is the full 10W output and when set to soft it drops the power down to 2W. The newer models enable you to drop the power down further, From 10W to 0.05W over 4 positions on a rotary switch.

The newer ones also get High and Low input jacks. The rear panel now extends lower to completely cover the valves.

Other than that, the eventual buyer is, effectively, getting this amp at half price.  :'(
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.

  • Can come with brand new valves for an extra £20 too! Bought as spares but never fitted!

  • I made enquiries about this a while ago when selling mine- Denis Cornell can convert older Romanys to the current four-mode operation for £100-ish.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.
